To fully exploit the organisations potential and to capitalise on the increasing amount of tender opportunities presented by our key clients we now require a talented professional to join our very successful work winning team.

Ideally you will be a degree qualified Civil Engineer with a sharp commercial brain and a good mix of project delivery and estimating experience for successful local contractors. Upon commencement with Pensar you will be responsible for investigating project opportunities, analysing tender invitations, conducting site inspections, negotiating, exploring planning options, liaising with subcontractors and preparing and submitting tenders.

Interested parties should demonstrate the ability to think both logically and laterally as they successfully evaluate work methods, efficient techniques of construction and material/plant/labour costs to effectively develop accurate and competitive tender submissions. Applicants should possess strong computer based planning and programming skills and the ability to practically prioritise and manage their time for maximum productivity and tender success.

Applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • Civil Engineering Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years’ post graduate experience.
  • Background in estimating, procurement/contracts admin.
  • Previous success in a site based position.
  • Commercial and business acumen.
  • Experienced in the use of Expert Estimation (or similar).
  • Proven track record of working to strict deadlines.
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Commitment, energy and adaptability.
